Canvas is available again and can be used to share course materials, enter grades, and have students submit their assignments. If you have made alternative arrangements with students for submitting assignments with an upcoming deadline, you can simply continue to apply those arrangements.
On services.uva.nl, you can find the current availability of the various tools. The Teaching Without Canvas page will for now remain available through tlc.uva.nl/canvas.

We offer programmes for Workgroup and PhD teachers, as well as the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ/BKO) programme for more experienced teachers. In addition, we provide open courses such as LEGO Serious Play and E-learning modules on topics such as blended learning, basic didactics, AI in higher education, and more.
We share our knowledge: find Tips for Teachers, inspiring Teacher Stories, and stay updated on TLC events. Share your own teaching tips and tricks and learn from colleagues across the faculty.
We support educational innovation through grants, special interest groups, and projects such as TLCreate, where we help you create media content for your course needs, and our AI Consultancy. Discover new tools, techniques, and opportunities to enhance your teaching.
We support evidence-informed teaching through research such as within the Education Research Fellows and research projects related to teacher development and educational innovation. Teachers can conduct their own research, access mentorship, and share findings with colleagues. Explore our projects and get involved!

TLC coaches are experienced FMG teachers who act as consultants or sparringpartners for colleagues wanting to develop their teaching. They offer a space to think through ideas, explore possibilities, and connect you to relevant TLC resources. Whether you want to try a new teaching method, rethink assessment, experiment with educational technology or just want to tweak that assignment you have used for the last five years, a TLC coach can help you move from idea to concrete next steps.
If you would like to create media content for your courses, such as a podcast, a knowledge clip, or video interviews, TLC Create has got you covered. The TLC-FMG can help you flush out your ideas, support and finance your project.
