At the end of this module participants can…

  • improve their teaching, based on evaluation data
  • proactively ask colleagues, coordinators, teaching support staff, students and others for feedback
  • reflect on their actions as a teacher in every aspect of your teaching and also on their awareness of inclusiveness and social safety in the classroom.
  • reflect on and discuss teaching activities and your growth and development as a teacher, based on evaluations and results. You are able to set achievable and measurable goals for yourself in respect of the above too.
Preparation Make sure to have done the following preparation (otherwise you unfortunately won’t be able to participate in the training):

  • Read this article: Schelfhout, Dochy, F., Janssens, S., Struyven, K., & Gielen, S. (2006). Towards an equilibrium model for creating powerful learning environments. Validation of a questionnaire on creating powerful learning environments during teacher training internships. European Journal of Teacher Education29(4), 471–503. https://doi.org/10.1080/02619760600944787
  • Record a tutorial meeting of you teaching, and select 10 minutes of the video to use for this training
  • Let at least two students of your group fill out (either on paper or digitally) this observation form for the recorded tutorial meeting, and bring these forms to the training
