Why use the TLC Studio?

Through the TLC Studio you have an opportunity to enrich your course. We can help you decide how multimedia components can contribute to your learning objectives. Whether you want to add a webinar, live Q&A sessions, or a podcast, multimedia can bring your curriculum to life.
At the TLC Studio, you have access to four microphones, three cameras, a teleprompter, and state-of-the-art lighting and mixing equipment. In other words, we have many solutions for your media production idea.

‘One example is students coming to a tutorial unprepared. As a result, you must go over the assigned material again during the session, even though that time is intended for deeper exploration and application.

For example, you could create a short instructional video for students to watch beforehand, possibly supplemented by a preparatory quiz in Canvas. This gives students a shared foundation of knowledge before the tutorial.

The face-to-face session can then focus on what makes this type of teaching so valuable: deeper exploration, dialogue, and active engagement with the material. The aim, therefore, is not to replace contact hours, but to make the best possible use of them in terms of content.’

“ I worked with Fam to make a series of micro lectures for the specialisation seminar ‘Strategic Communication’. Fam guided me through the process every step of the way. She provided materials that helped me structure and format the text and slides in a fitting way for the intended format. Before and during the recordings, she coached me on how to deliver my message in an informative, yet entertaining way. After the recordings were produced, she was able to answer all my questions on using the available tools to give the lectures an interactive twist, with a focus on establishing an active learning attitude in the students. I am very happy with the end result and would highly recommend working with Fam if you would like to create engaging and interactive micro lectures. ”
