Evaluating your own teaching 1

In teaching it is important to know how you are expressing yourself and how students experience your teaching. Through evaluating your own teaching and the ways your colleagues are teaching, you can improve the quality of your own teaching. In this module you will evaluate your own teaching skills and that of others. In this way you develop a critical view on your own teaching skills which will help to improve your teaching.

During the training, you evaluate different evaluation methods and differentiate when to use students, peers, your supervisor, or self-assessment as a source for it. In the training you practice with a structured way of lesson observation when you or one of your colleagues will lead the group into an introduction exercise. You will design a lesson observation plan, so you can collect feedback and observation forms to include into your UTQ/BKO portfolio. In peer consultation you learn how to perform a peer consultation and reflect on teaching situations together
