Welcome to the toolpage for Zoom!
Zoom is a cloud platform for video meetings. You can use this platform for recording videos, video conferencing for live lectures/seminars/tutorials or for oral exams. In the “How-to” subpage, you can find manuals on how to schedule meetings, how to record meetings, and how to start and organize a meeting.
All essential information on how to use Zoom for teachers can be found in this guide (also includes instructions on Zoom Large Meetings & Zoom Webinar). Please read the protocol carefully when organizing a Zoom Webinar.
This guide explains how you can record a meeting in Zoom. You can use this to record a lecture, as well as shorter videos.
All the interaction tools available in Zoom, combined with didactical needs, can be found in this overview.
You can use Zoom to schedule meetings to use for your workgroups. You can also make a recurring meeting. This manual addresses this.
The Virtual Background feature allows you to display an image or video as your background during a Zoom Meeting. This feature works best with a green screen and uniform lighting, to allow Zoom to detect the difference between you and your background. You can upload your own images or videos as a virtual background. See this manual on how to set it up.

In this tutorial, a few tricks are shared concerning video sharing in a Zoom meeting. The video addresses the issue of poor playback of video clips during Zoom sessions.
The main argument is that playback can be improved somewhat by reducing the size of the video player on your desktop before you share your screen. This reduces resolution but can also increase the frame rate at which Zoom shares a video clip, resulting in smoother playback. Please see the video for more information.
