TestVision is a digital and summative assessment tool.

With this tool, as a teacher, I can:

  • fully digital assessments, both on-site and online;
  • select different question types, such as: MC, scaffold, rank, matching, hotspot, fill-in-the-blank and open;
  • create question banks that allow for randomization of the complete assessment, question order, and possibly answer alternatives by student. This can reduce fraud during online assessments;
  • adding high-quality images, audio and video to test questions;
  • having the closed questions automatically marked;
  • analyze the reliability and quality of a test afterwards;
  • collaborate with colleagues on the question bank and assessment.

Why should I use this tool?
  • With TestVision you have extensive possibilities to gain insight into the quality of a test through analysis.
  • By developing a digital question bank it saves you and your colleagues a lot of preparation time.
  • You save time when reviewing large numbers of students.
  • TestVision offers support in the preparation and administration of tests, and in the publication of results.
What is this tool less suitable for?
  • TestVision is generally not used for formative assessments. An alternative for formative assessment is Canvas Quizzes.
  • TestVision is unsuitable for summative assessments of skills, such as speaking skills or making connections. A Take Home Exam, practical assignment or essay can be alternatives when you want to test more complicated thinking processes.

Pay attention to the following:

  • It takes some time investment to learn how to use the tool, but once implemented you can save a lot of time with TestVision.
  • The request for TestVision tests should be made in a timely manner.

When does this tool work best?
  • Are you curious whether your assessment form is suitable to be administered via TestVision? Please contact the test experts of your faculty to come along during their consultation hours.
  • To start using TestVision you need access to the tool. Are you curious about the technical side of TestVision, deadlines and other support? Please contact your ICTO department.
  • Strive for a review process that is as objective as possible: divide the review of open questions among colleagues and set criteria for scoring these answers1.
