Medischonderwijs.com is a collection point of e-learning modules developed by the various UMCs. In this way it becomes possible to distribute modules and to use each other’s modules in your education.

With this tool I, as a teacher, can

  • reuse existing educational content;
  • check what content has already been developed on a specific medical topic;
  • publish content yourself;
  • gain inspiration for developing your own educational content.
Why should I use this tool?

Offering e-learnings makes it possible to share knowledge independent of time and place. For example, e-learning can be used to prepare students for lectures to introduce the subject, so that more depth can be given during the lecture. By offering e-learning in advance, space is created for class reflection, discussion or practical exercises. Students can hereby determine the pace themselves and can spend as much time on the e-learning as they need. In addition, the use of existing e-learning saves in-house development time, and finally, knowledge is shared among various UMCs.

What is this tool less suitable for?

E-learning modules can also be built via the platform. However, the options to build modules can have some limitations or be slightly outdated. It can be better to use other tools such as Articulate to build e-learnings.

How does the tool come into its own?

Before choosing an e-learning module, it is important that you think carefully about what exactly you want to convey and how you want to do this. Do this by properly determining the learning objectives in advance and by considering who the target group is and what prior knowledge they already have.
