A TeachMeet is an informal mini-conference where UvA teachers meet and exchange good practices to inspire each other. It is a popular concept used worldwide for and by teachers with the aim to learn from and with each other. During each TeachMeet, a specific theme is highlighted and four to five short presentations are given, followed by drinks together. Exchange, inspiration and encounters are the key ingredients.

| In the coming academic year the TLC network will be organising another series of TeachMeets.
Next TeachMeet: 5 December 2025 Location: Spui25 Time: 10.00-12.00h |
Well-being is one of the most important yet often underestimated concepts in academia. What exactly is meant by wellbeing? How does wellbeing affect your academic performance? How do you deal with issues related to wellbeing, particularly in relation to work and school? And how can teachers ensure that their students’ wellbeing is maintained as well as possible?
These questions will all be answered during the TeachMeet on Wellbeing. Through various presentations given by experts active within the UvA and TLC, the most important issues surrounding the theme of wellbeing will be discussed and highlighted. This TeachMeet meeting will provide teachers with clearer insights and knowledge about wellbeing and teach them how to best deal with the theme of wellbeing in their work.
