Remote surveillance

Online proctoring makes it possible to take exams online with remote surveillance. The UvA uses the Proctorio tool for this purpose. The system recognizes suspicious behavior and indicates where fraud may have occurred. Online proctoring is a form of digital supervision of tests in which no supervisor is present. After the test, the recorded video, audio and screen material can be viewed again and, in this way, digital proctoring prevents fraud during remote tests. In this way, tests can be conducted fairly.

For more information on online proctoring, teachers can look at the staff A-Z list and click on “Online proctoring“.

On the sharepoint environment of the FS-BOL support service (https://bit.ly/2SbzS6R) you will find policy documents and guidelines, instructions, proctoring manuals, etc.

The TLC FMG, in collaboration with SURF, hosted a webinar on the opportunities and dilemmas of online proctoring after corona. Read the article about the highlights of this webinar here (Dutch only).

For questions about digital testing and online proctoring you can contact the Digital Testing contact person within your own faculty (see the contact page of your own faculty).
