Readers links all pdf files of publications in your course within Canvas into one bundle. Then, upon Library approval, students have the option to have all pdf files printed. Students order the printed reader from Canon’s web shop.
With this tool, as a teacher, I can:
create readers (bundle of all pdf files) from within a Canvas course;
provide students with a list of all literature within the course (printing is not possible in this case);
have students review individual articles, download or print the reader;
allow students to annotate within the text and add questions to the text.

Why should I use this tool?
With this tool, you offer students the option of conveniently collecting the course material in a reader and having it printed.
What is this tool less suitable for?
When students open and annotate the pdfs online, these annotations are publicly visible. When all students annotate and ask questions in this file, it can become less manageable. If interaction in the materials does seem desirable you can use Perusall or Feedbackfruits Interactive Audio/Video/Document.Please notethat the reader must be checked by the University Library (UB).
When does this tool work best?
What is permissible when creating teaching materials and who holds the copyright to teaching materials? You can find answers to these questions and more through the Copyright Information Point.
