Video format: demonstration
Through a demonstration, students learn how to carry out specific procedures. Examples include a step-by-step walkthrough of software, conducting a physical examination, or a recording in the lab.
Demonstration: recording in the studio
In the large studio there are multiple options for recording a demonstration. Think of a medical examination with a doctor and a patient on an examination couch, or a demonstration of a medical device shown on a desk. The cost for a demo in the large studio is €1,400 for a half-day. This includes editing and one round of corrections.
All faculties can engage the Audiovisual Centre (AVC) for this.
The video studios at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FMG) and the Faculty of Science (FNWI) also offer options for this. The knowledge clip studios are less suitable. You can find more information about UvA Studios here.

Demonstration: on location
Another option is to record a demonstration on location, for example in a laboratory.
The Audiovisual Centre (AVC) can be engaged by lecturers from all faculties for this. A camera operator and a production staff member will be present. Editing will be delivered within two weeks and includes one round of corrections. The cost for the demo is €1,500 for a half-day. You can arrange this with the AVC via .
Some faculties have their own facilities or arrangements with the AVC. Check with your faculty ICTO or TLC about the options.
Software demonstration
Demonstrating software is very similar in set-up to traditional instruction. The recording options are therefore largely the same, and all UvA studios are well equipped for this.
