At the UvA, students and colleagues come from diverse cultural backgrounds, creating both opportunities and challenges in the classroom. This training helps you develop a framework for teaching in an intercultural setting by addressing key topics such as interculturalisation in higher education, personal and cultural awareness, and strategies for fostering inclusivity.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this training you will be able to…

describe the history and development of interculturalisation perspectives in higher education
interpret the effect of their own personal and cultural context and the ways it impacts teaching
formulate possible perspectives of intercultural students
foster discussion with individual and cultural differences
develop didactic alternatives to foster a diverse and inclusive classroom
