Training format
There will be four to five interactive half-day workshops, (16-20 contact hours), spread over a period of approximately four months. Didactic principles:
- Interactive, inspiring and informative;
- Knowledge sharing between programme directors;
- Space for intervision and working on your own learning questions.
In addition to the contact hours, participants work 3-4 hours per workshop on a preparatory assignment (‘homework’).
Content
During the training, participants will consider the following questions, among others:
- What does the role entail? What are you responsible for: course content,
- quality assurance, student communication, student welfare, budgets.
- What do you need to know about organizational structure? What does that mean for structuring your own programme? Who are involved?
- How do you arrange cooperation and exchange with the education team and the teaching team?
- How do I ensure alignment within the curriculum, e.g. between lecturers or the learning objectives in relation to the final attainment levels?
- What does the quality cycle look like for the programme?
- What would you like to achieve in the coming period?
- Where are your own (possible) development points in your role as director of the programme?
