Choose your own Path

Are you a staff member, lecturer, or student at the University of Amsterdam and would you like to put your technical skills or critical eye to the test? Then sign up for this hackathon, where we will work on testing and improving the UvA AI Chat together with a team of AI experts. As a participant, you gain access to a server about a week in advance to unleash your critical and/or technical capabilities on the UvA AI Chat platform. This includes exploring the current features, coming up with additions to them, and of course the challenge for you to find gaps in the UvA AI Chat. Here, you choose your own path:

  • Test your technical skills as a hacker
Challenge the system: can you provoke strange or undesirable answers, bypass functions, or influence its behavior in ways that were not intended? It’s up to you to push the AI chat to its absolute limits. Your task is to figure out what the weak or vulnerable points of UvA AI Chat are, and how you can expose them with clever prompts.
  • Brainstorm about an artificial brain
Less interested in a technical challenge, but curious about the features UvA AI Chat offers? Show how you currently use UvA AI Chat, what you would like to learn, and which features could simplify your daily work at the university. A team of AI experts will work with you to see what is and is not possible within this system’s environment. We will translate your ideas into concrete improvements to the platform and help you navigate the options the chat provides.

I am up for the challenge!
