How can we improve the quality of assessment within our curriculum? Which other suitable assessment formats are there? How can we improve the quality of our exams? How do you write good exam questions? How do you make a good rubric? Can the TLC help us organize a grading calibration session for an assignment or the thesis?
The TLC Network offers a bespoke workshop for teaching teams which want to further develop their assessment skills. We will organize an intake before the workshop to agree on the goal, content and organization. The workshop will be led by the TLC’s assessment specialists.
Depending on the needs of the team, we will draw up an interactive and practice-oriented workshop on assessment together. Organizing a workshop for a whole team is not only useful for developing the participants’ assessment skills individually, but also for making group decisions, developing a shared vision and working on current assessment quality. As such, participants will get to work on their own materials during the workshop, led by the TLC’s assessment specialists.

After completing a workshop, you will< not receive a diploma. After all, it is not a course you are completing. However, it is possible to receive proof of participation.
In preparation for the workshop, an intake will be set up with a member of the team, in which we also discuss what participants need to prepare beforehand. Participants are usually asked to review (part of) the TLC website on assessment and bring their own assessment materials to the session.
