We support educational innovation through projects such as GenAI and active learning pilots. In this overview, you will find educational innovation projects that have been carried out within the Faculty of Science.
The rise of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has a significant impact on academic education. That’s why the Teaching & Learning Centre Science launched a project integrating GenAI, specifically ChatGPT, into the teaching process. In these GenAI pilot programmes at the Faculty of Science, various applications of GenAI in higher education are being explored and their added value is being evaluated. The project will run for a year and marks a major step forward in using the potential of GenAI to enhance and personalise learning.

Active teaching methods enhance student learning, but traditional classroom setups often limit their implementation. We investigated how a flexible design with a focus on interaction and group work would support active learning.
Learning happens best when we feel we belong. Therefore, creating an inclusive learning environment is key. At the Faculty of Science, we are committed to inclusive education that helps every student feel welcome, seen, and supported. By bringing together teachers, students, programme coordinators, study advisers, and communication teams, we work towards learning environments where diversity is valued and everyone can thrive.
