This form of exam is administered through TVO on Chromebooks of the UvA.
Students type their answers directly into the software. Exams are stored and graded digitally, and inspection can be organised digitally as well.
This form of exam can be done in two ways.
The latter option is discouraged at this time, due to COVID-related contingencies
Students write down their answers on paper. These can then be scanned and graded in ANS Delft (if the exam was prepared on said platform) or can be graded manually on paper.
If we have to move to online exams, Ans Delft is the only option. Students can still write their answers but will upload them themselves via the software. Surveillance, if required, can be done through Proctorio.
This form can be administered on campus or online through Zoom.
Individual oral exam.
If we have to move to online exams, oral exams can be done via Zoom.
This form of exam requires manual grading. If assessed through Canvas Assignment, the Canvas Speedgrader can be used. Consider the time needed for grading, this can be longer than for other exam forms. Contact your department for additional TA support.
Essay questions, a paper or product requiring higher cognitive skills. Students usually get one or more days, but a shorter period is also possible.
If we have to move to online exams, a take home exam can be utilised in the same way.
