Hackathon Series genAI in Education
Actively Shaping the Academic Future of AI
In this hackathon series, we invite students and staff to actively help shape and build the future of AI in our education and research. During these sessions, we explore the possibilities, limitations, and ethical frameworks of generative AI. This also includes UvA AI Chat, an AI tool developed for and by the university. We test the system, design new functionalities (such as AI personas), and collect feedback to make UvA AI Chat more reliable and more useful for the entire academic community at the University of Amsterdam. For who?
| Each session in the series has its own focus and brings together users, AI experts and developers. By taking part, you directly influence how AI is developed and used within our university. The ultimate aim of the hackathon series is to ensure that lecturers can effectively guide students, supported by UvA AI Chat. Together with fellow staff and students, you will tackle current challenges in education to help achieve this goal, for example how to use AI responsibly when writing a thesis.
