Will you be sharing your workshop at UvA Education Day?

To make this day a success, we are looking for colleagues from all faculties who would like to organize a connecting workshop during the education day. Are you stimulated by the theme Connectedness in education related to academic transitions? And do you have an idea for filling in and organizing a workshop in line with it? Let us know what you are thinking of no later than 26 April by this form. Creative ideas and ‘out of the box’ working methods are most welcome! A workshop may be as long as 90 minutes.

Celebration of education

The UvA Education Day 2024 will take place on Tuesday 22 October at an inspiring location in Amsterdam (exact location to be announced). This day is a celebration of education in which UvA educators and other colleagues from all faculties can participate. On the UvA Education Day we focus together on the importance of educators and their education and current trends within the UvA. The theme Connectedness in education will be the focus of the upcoming UvA Education Day.

Chair of the day UvA Education Day 2024

About the chair of the day

Dr Toni Pape is the chair of the day of the UvA Education Day 2024. He works as a researcher and lecturer in Media studies at the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the aesthetics of contemporary television and video games. Toni teaches mainly in the Bachelor’s programme ‘Media and Culture’ and the Master’s programme ‘Television and Cross-media Culture’. He has also taught courses for the Netherlands Institute of Cultural Analysis. In 2019, his course ‘Introduction to Video Game Studies’ received the Humanities Faculty’s Teaching Award. In his courses, Toni likes to bring students together through blended learning, peer reviewing and research-creation workshops.
