Experimenting with GenAI in education
GenAI tools can elevate higher education by making teaching and learning more personalized and efficient. By automating routine tasks, helping with brainstorming and administration, and fostering a more interactive and engaging learning environment, AI tools may not only enhance the educational experience for students, but also empower educators to focus on more complex and creative aspects of teaching.
Project goals
The goal of the pilot programme was for teachers and the TLC-FMG to explore the possibilities of GenAI in education, and to use it in a wide range of teaching-related tasks. Projects ranged from generating exam questions and providing a writing reflection bot for students to exploring new teaching methods and streamlining the coordination of thesis supervisions.
These projects allowed us to better understand how AI technologies can be integrated into higher education to improve outcomes, efficiency, and engagement across the university community, as well as reduce work pressure for teachers and coordinators alike.
