When starting out as a program director, you often need support and expansion of your expertise for your (new) responsibilities. As a program director, how do you ensure the quality of the programme, good staffing and good cooperation? What is involved in the process and what should you pay attention to?
In October 2024 an introductory program will start that will support you as programme director in the above mentioned matters. It is a partly demand-driven programme, in which the needs and questions of the participants are the starting point.

| Data | There are four interactive half-day workshops, totaling 16 contact hours, spread over a period of 3-4 months. These take place on Monday morning at Roeterseiland, from 09:00-13:00 on the following dates:
Besides the contact hours, you will spend an average of 1 hour per workshop on a preparatory assignment. |

| Registration | Participation means attending all four workshops. After registering, you will receive a detailed program for the four sessions.
Interested/selected candidates will have a short intake interview with one of the trainers. Needs and learning questions are assessed to tailor the programme accordingly. With the programme starting in October 2024, these intakes will take place at the end of August or in September of 2024. Approval from the Education Director (or supervisor) is required for participation.

The programme is conducted by Jacobijn Olthoff and René Glastra van Loon.
Jacobijn is programme director of University Teacher Training Programmes at the University of Amsterdam (Universitaire Lerarenopleidingen in Dutch). Before that, she was chair of the Works Council of the FMG and she built up extensive expertise regarding management of university programmes and leadership of teachers in a university context.
René is an engaged and experienced trainer, educational advisor and coach in higher education at TLC Central. He coaches in a creative, focused and professional manner. René conducts leadership development programmes and brings extensive experience and expertise within that field to the table.
