Guiding Discussions

In academic education, a discussion is an important way to, amongst other things, let students explore a diversity of perspectives, let them connect to a topic, and develop their listening skills. In this training other benefits of having discussions will be discussed, as well as requirements to create a classroom environment suitable for discussions, and a variety of discussion formats.

By the end of this training you will be able to…

  • understand the benefits of discussions
  • apply requirements necessary to create an environment to have discussions in class
  • evaluate and/or create discussion formats
