Why use mastery paths

A mastery path makes sure students fully understand the core concepts before moving on to more advanced material. That way, they are less likely to get lost later on. Pepijn finds that many of his students value this approach – they use it actively and rate the method highly in course evaluations.

How it works

Students start with short explanations and basic quizzes. Once they pass a quiz, they unlock more challenging questions – building up towards exam-level understanding. It is a step-by-step process that boosts their confidence and gives you better insight into where they might need extra support.
