Debate setup

Debate setup

During the debate, students or student groups defend opposing positions on a proposition. Before the debate starts, students have prepared their arguments in the classroom or at home. The debating teams sit at the front, presenting their arguments, possibly with the support of slides. The students not debating take a seat in the back rows. This activity trains students to publicly articulate their position, structure their arguments, work together and respond to new arguments presented.
