The aim of this two day bootcamp is for you to feel ready and confident to start your classes. During the training we will work with basic principles of good teaching. You reflect on your role as a teacher in regard to the learning process of students. You learn to identify and apply teaching strategies and you receive tools to create a safe learning environment in your workgroup. You will practice with a number of situations that you might encounter during tutorials. You will collect practical tools to work with your students with confidence.

- Being able to execute introduction exercises (with students)
- Being able to use ways to contribute to creating a safe environment (for you and your students)
- Being able to identify own and others’ concerns regarding teaching
- Being able to identify what types of qualities and behaviour makes a good teacher
- Being able to give clear and motivating instructions (to students)
- Being able to listen reflectively (to students)
- Being able to understand in what classroom situations a student learns (and when not)
- Being able to analyse what determines motivation for students
- Being able to act upon demotivated students
- Being able to provide constructive feedback on (students’) behaviour
- Being able to formulate solutions for concerns regarding teaching
